I've only been meaning to get around to it for the past 2 years! Who knew that nursing school would be so overwhelmingly busy! I'm soooo glad to have my life back now that I've graduated!

The redesign is not perfect but it works. Stills needs some tweeking but I believe it's functional. I figured that I'd redesign it to incorporate thumbnail pictures of my actual designs that are then linked to the actual merchandise page. This allows me to include paid advertising on my website pages and just by browsing my website creates income by showing banner and text ads in various spots on the page. Of course by income I mean a few pennies here and there depending on website traffic. I'm hoping to build up the site and do some marketing to increase my website traffic. We'll see how it goes, I have fun with it so it's all good whichever way it goes!

Showtime Series Dexter

Showtime's series Dexter is way more popular than I realized. I myself don't watch it, mostly because I don't get the Showtime Channel. Months ago when I noticed CafePress had contracted with Showtime to permit shopkeepers to create Dexter and The L Word merchandise I decided to make a couple Dexter designs. The design that has sold very well is my Peace Love Dexter design featuring a splatter of blood. I've sold this Dexter design on travel mugs, shirts, tote bags, and bumper stickers but the weirdest Peace Love Dexter item to frequently sell is the infant bodysuit!

Maybe someday I'll rent the DVD's from a season or two so I can come up with some new designs until now I am left imaging a baby wearing a onsie with a peace sign, heart & blood splatter on it. To each be it's own.

My CafePress Shop

Okay, so I'm always looking for a way to bring in the money so it's no surprise when I heard about CafePress I quickly jumped on board! For those of you who do not know what CafePress is, it is a company that allows you to create designs, upload them, and sell them on a wide variety of products. In the spring of 2009 I started fumbling around with creating designs, some good some bad but everyone has a different opinion of what is good and what isn't. I sometimes wonder why a certain design sells well while others don't. The key is to follow the rules, don't infringe on any copyrights and know how to format and create a logo/design.

I've had a real good run with American Idol, Twilight and New Moon merchandise. I have so many design ideas that I don't have the time or patience to complete them all. Baby steps. I have a large selection of designs already and will continue to add more as time goes on.
